Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra

Savannah is incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic symphony as the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the direction of the talented Keitaro Harada, they put on amazing performances. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of some of their recent events, including:

  • Holiday Stories (Dec. 2023): The U.S. premiere of my composition, “Snowflakes & Laughter.”
  • Phil the Park (Oct. 2024): Orchestra arrangements of Carlisle Floyd’s “Ain’t It a Pretty Night” and Chicago’s “Saturday in the Park.”
  • Holiday Pops Concert (Dec. 2024): I played saxophone on Duke Ellington’s “Nutcracker Suite” and, of course, “Sleighride!”
  • Guitar Fest (Jan. 2025): Two orchestra arrangements for guitarist Howard Paul, including Wes Montgomery’s “Sunny” and George Benson’s “Breezin’.”

Beyond their incredible concerts, the Savannah Philharmonic Community Music School brings music to various locations throughout Savannah, such as schools, libraries, and community centers. I highly recommend checking out the Phil at their next concert!ut the year. Go see and sponsor the Phil at their next concert!
