Are you a fan of music that takes you on a visual journey? I believe that music can help us make sense of our complicated lives and evoke strong emotions. My name is Brandon Walker, and I am a composer and musician passionate about creating music that resonates with listeners. Originally from Southern California, I have lived in the Toronto area for over 20 years and now reside in Savannah, Georgia.

Although I have had successful alternate careers in audio post-production and project management, my true passion is making music that makes life feel more meaningful. My compositions combine elements of jazz and classical music, as well as my experience in film and music audio production.

My career achievements include being named the 2020 Niagara Music Award winner for “Best Producer of the Year,” receiving eight Golden Reel Award Nominations, and winning a Gemini and two Directors Guild of Canada Awards.

I have had the honor of premiering my compositions with orchestras across North America and winning numerous awards with well-known symphony orchestras. In addition, I have performed with various groups and projects at venues and festivals in North America.

I received a Bachelors in Music, Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California and a Certificate in Film Scoring from the University of California Los Angeles. I have studied with renowned composers and musicians and learned from some of the best.

Currently, I am working on recording projects with the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto-based Odin Quartet for 2023 commercial CD releases through the Universal Music Group.

When I am not creating music, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring the Savannah, Georgia area’s culture, waterfront scenes, and history.
