Meet Brandon Walker, a highly talented composer, musician, and producer with a wide range of skills. Brandon’s music is a unique fusion of orchestral instruments, jazz, blues, and rock influences. His piece, Pastoral (for oboe and string trio), was included in the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra’s 2023 Canadian Expedition album. Universal Music Group is also set to release two more of his chamber compositions, including a string quartet with the Toronto-based Odin Quartet.

Brandon has accomplished several milestones throughout his career, including being selected as the 2023 Commissioned Composer for the Georgia Music Teachers Association and being a finalist in the Tampa Bay Symphony’s International Composition Contest. He has also had premieres by the Reno Pops, Brazosport Symphony, and Brantford Symphony Orchestra.

Brandon is a highly acclaimed composer, having won the 2020 Niagara Music Award for “Best Producer of the Year” and receiving eight Golden Reel Award nominations. His compositions have been played on radio stations across North America and featured on the CAMÕES TV program and the StaffPad music app internet radio.

Besides his incredible work as a composer and producer, Brandon is an accomplished musician who has performed at various festivals, including Savannah, Playboy Jazz, and TD Jazz Festivals. He has also worked as a supervising sound editor on projects with Michael Giacchino and Tyler Bates and has produced music for USC’s Songfest.

Brandon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California and a Certificate in Film Scoring from the University of California Los Angeles. He has studied with renowned saxophonists and pianists and is a member of several prestigious music organizations.

Aside from his musical endeavors, Brandon has a background in project management and controls. He was a founding member of the LA rock group To The Sky and resides in the Savannah, Georgia area. Brandon’s exceptional talent and diverse skillset make him a valuable addition to any musical project.

Originally from Southern California and after living in the Toronto area for over 20 years, Brandon resides in the Savannah, Georgia area.
