In early October, I had the pleasure of sitting in with the John Collin Jazz Band @ The Royal Canadian Legion in Waterloo. The format was primarily dixieland music, which the crowd enthusiastically enjoyed. The special guest was trumpeter Dave Tatrow from Michigan. The band included: John Collin (drums, leader), Phil Disera (guitar, banjo, vocals), Ron Johnston (acoustic bass), Brian “Dinny” Dinsdale (trumpet, vocals), Mike Lawson (trombone), Brandon Walker (saxes, piano)

The Legion has an awesome concert series and brings in a good crowd. We are fortunate for their support of the arts. If you can ever attend one of their concerts, I highly recommend it!
