Fats Waller Project – July 2019 Recording Session

I am excited to announce a new project I am working on, inspired by the music and sound of the legendary Fats Waller. The first recording session of 7 songs was completed on July 15th and included some fantastic musicians playing live to ONE(!) ribbon microphone (just like in the days of old). All involved loved this method of recording – the sound, the discipline and realness of it all.

The project includes Brandon Walker (piano/saxophone), George Grosman (vocals/guitar), Ian MacGillivray (vocals/trumpet), Rachel Melas (acoustic bass), and John Collin (drums). Look for more info, audio and video to come in the near future!
