In 2022, the fight for Ukraine, a beacon for freedom, has sparked the attention and support of the world. The undying light radiating from the Ukrainian people motivated me to write “Incandescence” for orchestra.

About the Musical Work

After an ambiguous opening, tensions begin to mount, and soundscapes become more complicated. Militaristic calls contrast the sustained and hollow sounds representing the ebb and flow of hopes and sadness. The yearning to end this horror and return to peace echoes in the theme of freedom throughout. We must recognize this flashpoint in history for its significance, not just for Ukraine but for the liberty of mankind. This sentiment is what I hope to illuminate with this musical journey.
