Cookie was a track not included in the HJC album (digital re-release June 1, 2019) but is available here “from the vault” for your enjoyment.

The tune features Brandon on tenor sax, Cengiz again on piano with some punchy dominant chords and a funky solo, and frequent contrasting sections of 3/4 time vs more groove oriented 4/4 time sections. The piano doubles the acoustic bass on the intro – a sound that I have always loved in jazz combos.
